Mission Statement
The Bay Area Hazardous Waste Reduction Committee has been formed to facilitate hazardous waste reduction and to support the development and implementation of local government programs in the Bay area and to:
- Promote haz waste reduction through education and outreach;
- Identify and eliminate the financial, institutional, and regulatory barriers to haz waste reduction
- Support the institutionalization of hazardous waste reduction at the local govt level;
- Develop multimedia approaches to hazardous waste reduction
- Develop ties to other agencies and associations to for the the advancement of haz waste reduction
- Work together to leverage external resources and pool together bay area resources; and,
- Operate as an information exchange
