Dioxin and Human Sex Ratio: The Seveso Case [PDF]
Abstract: Discusses case study of Seveso, Italy, a community contaminated with dioxin in a 1976 factory explosion; detects a lower sex ratio of the inhabitants highly exposed to dioxin.

Dioxin in Depth
Abstract: Contains in-depth articles on sources and trends of dioxins (including incinerators, combustors, and trash-burning) and health problems caused by dioxins (including dioxins in breast milk and decreasing body levels of dioxins).

Dioxins and Dioxin-like Compounds in the Food Supply: Strategies to Decrease Exposure
Abstract: Given the paucity of scientific evidence available to the committee about current levels of DLCs in food and feeds and the impact of low-level exposure on human health, this report provides qualitative recommendations for options to reduce exposure through the food supply. Further, this report emphasizes the need for cost-effective analytical methods and research to determine the direction of future actions to further reduce DLC exposure through pathways leading to human foods.

Dioxins and Their Effects on Human Health
Abstract: Discusses chemistry and sources of dioxins, health effects associated with dioxins, how people can lower their dioxin intake, and what the World Health Organization is doing to lower dioxin levels in the food chain.
