"An Ounce of Prevention" P2 Video
Abstract: American industry operated for nearly 200 years with no regard to environmental impact. It became clear by the late 1960s that the accepted lack of waste management had to change. In an effort to reverse the trend of pollution, the government formed the U.S. EPA to administer new pollution control laws. The high cost of "end of pipe" solutions has prompted industry to find better, more efficient ways of producing their products to lower the amount of waste generated. Pollution Prevention can be achieved in a variety of ways. Video produced by Ohio EPA, made available online in clips by the Pollution Prevention Regional Information Center (P2RIC)
